Kevin Hart “Laugh at My Pain” Interview

7 Nov

Kevin Hart sits down with fellow Philly-based (at one time) comedian Kurt Metzger and basically makes Kurt feel bad.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

I wasn’t aware Kevin Hart was rolling with brand new material this tour… might have to cop tickets.

Donnell Rawlings: From Ashy to Classy Airs This Saturday on Comedy Central

19 Oct

LMBAO has a very… err… complicated relationship with comedian Donnell Rawlings (more on that another time) but we’re going to push that aside for now and let you know about his upcoming special on Comedy Central entitled From Ashy to Classy, airing this Saturday at 11 p.m.

Jokes.com caught up with Rawlings this week to get his thoughts on his first time on stage, funny internet stuff and the future of stand-up:

What did it feel like getting on stage for the first time?

I thought because I was an accomplished heckler, I would be an accomplished comic. I wrote what I thought was a half-hour worth of material, which panned out to be, like, 10 seconds because there’s a difference writing and performing for yourself in the mirror than performing for a live crowd. And the minute I went on stage it’s like I drew a blank and I had to resort to some things I did as a heckler. But it taught me a lesson to never heckle a comic.

NY Candidate for Governor Jim McMillan of the “Rent Is Too Damn High Party” at Debate

19 Oct

Jim McMillan of the Rent Is Too Damn High Party (the site almost crashed my computer but before it did, a seemingly hilarious rap song was starting to play) overshadows the… uhhh… legitimate candidates at a debate for NY governor yesterday.

I think I’m gonna start rocking hitman gloves like my new idol.

A Sneak Peak at the Black Dynamite Animated Series Coming Soon to Adult Swim

29 Sep

Oh, we’re hype.

The Black Dynamite news we mentioned last week is apparently more than a rumor. Check out these first look stills from the upcoming animated series, which will air on Adult Swim:

Click on the images to enlarge.

Even more good news:

The Black Dynamite Animated Series further chronicles the exploits of Black Dynamite and his crew. Executive produced by Carl Jones (The Boondocks, Freaknik: The Musical), the series features the voice talents of Michael Jai White, Tommy Davidson, Kym Whitley, Byron Minns, Clifton Powell and JB Smoove.

Much of the talent from the cast of the movie, PLUS Clifton Powell (legend) and JB Smoove (!!!).

Check out our interview with Michael Jai White and Scott Sanders and if you haven’t already, pick up your copy of Black Dynamite on DVD and keep the movement moving.

Very Smart Brothers’ 8 Relationship Books That Need To Be Published

28 Sep

Very Smart Brothers
published a hilarious post today, where they came up with eight relationship books that need to be published instead of Steve Harvey’s new joint.

Here’s a snippet:

1. “The Dick-Bait and Switch: Why We (Men) Happily Waste Women’s Prime Reproductive Years Even Though We Know It Will Eventually Bite Us In The Ass”

We all know the scenario (because, well, we’ve all done this before):

Boy meets Girl at annual “Stop The Violence!” community candlelight vigil and midnight kickball game. Boy is impressed enough with Girl’s spandex UnderArmor kickball outfit to sleep with her, but not impressed enough with Girl in general to do anything else with her. Girl, on the other hand, thinks Boy is the best thing since sliced bread, indoor plumbing, and Erykah Badu’s ass. Boy knows exactly how Girl feels, and also knows that sleeping with Girl will give mixed signals, but Boy does it anyway. Boy eventually cuts Girl off, and Girl takes it out on the next 17 men she dates, eventually culminating in Girl starting a NFNF (No Fidelity, No Fellatio) movement on Twitter.

Genius level posting. Check out the full post over at Very Smart Brothers.

Thanks for the heads up Mike.
