Classic Black Sitcom Minisodes

31 Aug

Ever wanted to watch six episodes of The Jeffersons or Fat Albert in 30 minutes? Who doesn’t?

Youtube’s Minisode Network condenses the best parts of episodes of classic shows into five minute clips, perfect for wasting time at work. And somehow it works. Actually, Dave posted a 227 minisode a few months ago.

Here’s a great one from Good Times:

It’s amazing how these five minute episodes eventually turn into a wasted hour.

Good Times: 7 episodes
What’s Happening: 16 episodes
Diff’rent Strokes: 28 episodes
Fat Albert: 14 episodes
227: 6 episodes
The Jeffersons: 10 episodes

That should keep you occupied.

28 Aug

Comedienne Loni Love, best known from Chelsea Lately Round Table, will be performing alongside fellow C. Lately Round Table comedians, Brad Wollack, and the Sklar Brothers on the 3rd installment of the “Comedians of Chelsea Lately”.

E! premiered the “Comedians of Chelsea Lately” earlier this month, I’m kind of late with this “Breaking News”. Better late than never, right?

Check out Loni Love and the rest of the “Comedians of Chelsea Lately” tonight @ 10:30 PM. In the meantime, here’s a clip of tonight’s performance.

Comedian Tommy Davidson and a host of other comics took part in creating The Family Hour, a family-friendly stand-up comedy DVD presented by Image Entertainment.

No curse words and clean material make this joint ok for the kids… hopefully it’s still funny. Here’s a clip:

My question to you: Is there a market for family stand-up comedy?

One more clip from the DVD after the jump.
