I can’t believe we haven’t posted anything about the Awkward Kings of Comedy yet; an in-depth post by The Comic’s Comic reminded me.

The Awkward Kings of Comedy is a new standup performance documentary spotlighting four alternative African-American comics. It’s a film to showcase a category of black comedian rarely witnessed: the nerd variety.
The Awkward Kings are comprised of producer Victor Varnado, Baron Vaughn, Eric Andre, Hannibal Buress, and Marina Franklin as host. Check out the trailer below:
The world premiere screening is going down this Saturday (May 30) in NYC. If you’re in the area, you should definitely check it out.

In case you weren’t aware, the CW did not renew Everybody Hates Chris for next season, although Chris Rock helped them make that decision.
In remembrance, I’ve pulled together a few great clips from the show, the mjaority of which featured Chris getting his butt kicked.

As a black, non-skier, I’ve never been tempted to go to Aspen, Colorado… until now. From June 11th to 14th, our pals over at Rooftop Comedy are holding their annual comedy festival in the town that many celebrities consider their “part-time home“.
The three-day festival includes a number of LMBAO’s favorite comedians, including Finesse Mitchell, Kyle Grooms, Ty Barnett, Marina Franklin and a ton of others in an incredibly diverse line-up.

Now for those of us who are flat broke can’t make it, we don’t have to totally miss out on the fun! Vote for the stand-up clip you feel is worthy of the Viewer’s Choice Award, and the winner will be announced as part of the Rooftop Comedy Awards on Sunday, June 14th in Aspen.
And each day leading up to the festival, LMBAO’s Rooftop Comedy Video of the Day will feature one of the comedians performing in this year’s festival. So check the blog daily and it’ll be kind of like you’re in Aspen… if you close your eyes.
